The link to the Clayton County newspapers is below. The collection of genealogical materials, including local family histories, cemetery records and other family history items, has been moved to the new Genealogical Center.

THE GENEALOGY MATERIALS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO THE NEW GENEALOGICAL CENTER LOCATED AT 119 N. MAIN STREET. THE PHONE NUMBER FOR THE CENTER IS (563) 245-1065.

The Genealogical Center, located at 119 N. Main Street (across the street from the library), holds a wide variety of family histories, cemetery records, a collection of Genealogy records for Mallory Township, histories of schools in Clayton County, platt maps from various time periods, a surname file for easy indexing of birth, death and marriage notices in the local paper and microfilm of the local newspaper from 1853 to 2002.

The Center also has a microfilm reader/printer and a digital microfilm reader that is capable of saving files to flash drives, camera memory cards and printing to a laser printer. This digital microfilm reader is also capable of viewing slides easy printing and file saving. The purchase of this digital microfilm reader in 2008 was made possible through a bequest from the Francis Ehrhardt estate.
