Join Friends of The Elkader Public Library

Friends of the Elkader Public Library is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 advocacy organization which supports the Elkader Public Library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community.

The Friends of the Elkader Public Library raise funds to be used by the Library for activities and items  not ordinarily covered under the Library's operating budget since ongoing Library operations are paid for by city and county dollars. The Friends currently have about 30 members.

The Friends of the Elkader Public Library meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m. at the library. They support quality library service in Elkader and the surrounding rural Clayton County. They do this through fund raising, volunteerism and serving as advocates for the library's programs.
