Use a Computer

The Elkader Library has ten public computers with DSL & Wireless Internet access. This describes what we have and how to use them.

The Elkader Public Library is fortunate to have 10 public access computers. All are connected to Fiber Optic Internet Access. The library also has wireless internet access available.

  • The library is fortunate to have 10 public access computers.
  • These public access computers are located at various locations around the library.
  • All of the library computers are loaded with the complete Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Time limits of one half hour are enforced when all of the computers are busy.
  • A Internet User's Agreement must be on file for all patrons using public access computers at the library. Children under the age of 18 must have parental/guardian signature for computer use.
  • The Elkader Public Library does have a filtering software loaded on all of it's computers.
  • Children must be of    age to use the library computers.
