Thank you for being a Friend.
The Friends of the Elkader Public Library work alongside the library to ensure that there is a generous variety of programming available to patrons and help supplement supplies and prizes used for programs such the Summer Reading Program. For example, for adults, the Friends have hosted speakers and authors. For children, the Friends have sponsored performers, hosted annual holiday parties, and supplement the yearly Summer Reading Program. The Friends have also contributed much needed items to the library such as an outdoor bench and filing cabinets. Every year the Friends hold a book sale during Elkader's Sweet Corn Days in July.
If you are interested in joining the friends, you are encouraged to complete the membership form. Forms can be mailed or dropped off at the library. The membership fee (which goes towards supporting the library) is due at the time of form submission.
The Friends meet regularly, typically on the second Thursday of each month at 4:00 pm. Meetings are included on the Library's event calendar.
The Friends of the Elkader Public Library is a 501(c)3 organization and all gifts and donations are tax deductible.
