RSVP of Clayton and Northern Fayette Counties

The Northeast Iowa RSVP Program began in 2001, sponsored by the Decorah Public Library, where they are also headquartered. In 2025, they opened a satellite office in Elkader to expand their reach to Clayton and Northern Fayette counties.

About

Northeast Iowa RSVP is part of AmeriCorps Seniors and sponsored locally by the Decorah Public Library. AmeriCorps is the federal agency connecting individuals and organizations through service and volunteering to tackle the nation’s most pressing challenges.

Mission

Northeast Iowa RSVP matches the skills and interests of volunteers who are 55 and better with local partners to positively impact communities.

Impact

Northeast Iowa RSVP currently works with about 80 community organizations in the tri-county area. Volunteers serve at these "stations" in a variety of ways - everything from helping to ensure food security, completing tax returns, sorting and stocking donations, sharing Fraud Prevention information, and volunteering with youth or the aged population.  Our volunteers help these organizations make a difference in our communities every day.
