Programs for Children

The Elkader Public Library's Story Time is for toddlers through preschool-aged children, and will take place MOST Mondays at 10:30 am. Story Time dates will be scheduled on the library website calendar of events.

Story Time consists of stories, songs, activities, and crafts. These fun activities are designed to promote reading and learning.

Call or email the library for more information.

The Summer Reading Program (SRP) is a continuation of Story Time for children up to Kindergarten. For students through 5th grade, SRP is to help combat "summer slide" so that students don't lose reading skills over the summer break from school.

Participants must be registered; please stop by the library to pick up a registration form or print out one here.
