Lance Mack Presents Abraham Lincoln  on Friday, April 27th. Performances  will be held at 1 - 2:30 and 6:30 p.m.
 
Using Mr. Lincoln's own timeless words and wearing period attire, including President Lincoln's signature stovepipe hat and black frock coat, Lance has been mesmerizing his audiences for more than twenty years.
This program is open to all and is free of charge.

Stop in today and sign up for your library card, it's easy if you are a resident of Elkader or the surrounding area. A library card at the Elkader Public Library opens up an avenue of information unlike any other. The library offers materials in adult fiction, non-fiction, how-to books, self-help, books on audio (CD, cassette and MP3 formats), video, DVD's, a wide variety of children's books as well as materials for young adults, and much, much more.

Elkader is a unique community and home to the Keystone Bridge This keystone bridge is known as the longest of its type west of the Mississippi river. It is 346 feet long and was built of locally quarried limestone in 1889. Construction of the bridge lasted nine months at a cost of $16,282. In later years a sidewalk was added to the north side of the bridge. The State Preservation Program nominated this bridge to the National Register of Historic Places in January, 1976.
